I spent the entire week working on this neocities website instead of continuing to study modern full stack web applications.
I've been incredibly hyperfocused on getting this website to look good and work, even though it kind of feels like a waste of time because there's no way I'd ever put this on my portfolio. Can you imagine my future employers looking at my vents? That won't make a good impression on them at all.
But, I do feel good about what I've done. This is a layout I made from scratch, not a .css I pulled from somewhere (I did that back then) and now that I am a little familiar with javascript and reading MDN docs, I can add the interactivity that I want/need.
I'm also thinking of creating my own Static Site Generator for this site. Creating blog posts and updating multiple pages gets messy really, really fast. Now... The question is if I'm able to do it. I think I know how to make it, theoretically. A markdown to HTML converter is just a complicated version of find and replace right?
